It mainly relies on mechanical components such as gears and chains to transmit power. Just like the chain on a bicycle driving the wheels to rotate, it precisely and accurately transmits the power output by the engine to the tracks, thereby driving the equipment to move forward, backward or turn.
Hydraulic transmission: Precise and flexible
Hydraulic transmission represents the innovative application of modern technology in the field of crawler chassis drive. It uses the pressure of liquid to transmit power. When the engine drives the hydraulic pump to operate, the hydraulic pump converts mechanical energy into the pressure energy of the liquid. These high-pressure liquids are then transported through pipelines to the hydraulic motor or hydraulic cylinder, thereby driving the crawler to move.
In terms of performance, the tracked chassis also performs exceptionally well. Its contact area with the ground is larger compared to the wheeled chassis. The tracks of the tracked chassis can make wider contact with the ground, for example, in the jungle where the ground is covered with tree roots, stones, and other obstacles, the tires of ordinary wheeled vehicles are prone to getting stuck or damaged, but the tracked chassis, with its wide tracks, can directly pass over these obstacles and maintain the forward momentum; on the grassland, the soft grass may cause wheeled vehicles to get stuck, but the tracked chassis can rely on its large contact area and good grip to easily gallop on the grassland without getting stuck.
